Boas razões para ser a favor da crítica plural | conversando com Ricardo Regatieri sobre a teoria crítica da colonialidade

Abstract

No último número da REALIS de 2019.2 o sociólogo Ricardo Regatieri publicou uma resenha muito instigante intitulada “Crítica da colonialidade sem tábula rasa” a partir da leitura de meu livro Teoria Crítica da Colonialidade (Ateliê de Humanidades, 2020). Sua resenha me estimulou a escrever esta resposta para trazer alguns esclarecimentos adicionais sobre o livro e para estimular o debate. O primeiro comentário dele tem a ver com os usos que faço da ideia de teoria crítica sem referenciar de modo mais preciso a tradição alemão. O segundo, com o uso do conceito weberiano de patrimonialismo para analisar os sistemas de poder na América Latina; e o terceiro, sobre os eventuais limites do uso de utopias libertárias nas ciências sociais, como aquela do Bien Vivir.

Estaríamos Vivenciando uma Virada Decolonial na Educação em Ciências Brasileira?

Martins, 2019) The recognition of such singularities helps us to understand the reason why political, economic, and sociocultural analyses of colonialism tend to be as polyphonic and diverse as the ways of breaking with colonial rule.…”

“…The Brazilian Paulo Henrique Martins (P. H. Martins, 2019) also shows the limits that the Modernity/Coloniality Collective has in terms of its ability to break with European knowledge structures; by building internal and external academic alliances; and with regard to dialogue as non-hegemonic knowledge systems. He indicates a new turn that has been materializing in Latin America and the Caribbean (after the linguistic turn of the 1980s and the decolonial turn of the 1990s): the Critical Theory of Coloniality.…”
