Abstract: Bis-organoimido complexes of tungsten(vi) are prepared by reaction of WCI6 with Me3SiNHCMe3, or by reaction of mono-organoimido complexes with the silylamines Me3SiNHR; the structure of [WC12(NPh)2(bipy)] (bipy = a,a-bipyridyl) has been established by X-ray crystallography.
