The compound (Figure 1) with the trade name of acesulfame (C 4 H 4 KNO 4 S, 201.242 g / mol), and with the nomenclature such as 6-methyl-1,2,3-oksotiaz-4 (3H) -on-2,2-dioxide, 6-methyl-2,2-dioksooksotiaz-4-on (IUPAC) is oxatiazinon dioxide. Moreover, it is also known as 6-methyl-There are nitrogen and oxygen (in the ring); sulphonyl, methyl and carbonyl groups within the acesulfame structure. Because hydrogen atom bounded to nitrogen is quite acidic (pKa: ~ 2), it easily forms potassium salt. Today, use of acesulfame as a sweetener in beverages and food products is permitted. Potassium acesulfame is not metabolized in the body and does not produce energy. New complexes of N-isonicotinamido-4-chlorobenzalaldimine (INHCBA) with Cu(II), Co(II) and Cd(II), having formula of the type [M(INHCBA)(ac) 2 ]·xH 2 O (M = Cu 2+ , x = 1, M = Co 2+ , x = 2, M = Cd 2+ , x = 0, ac = CH 3 COO -), and with Cu(II), Mn(II) and Zn(II), having formula of the type [M(INHCBA) 2 (H 2 O) 2 ]SO 4 ·xH 2 O (M = Cu 2+ , Mn 2+ , x = 2 and Zn 2+ x = = 2.5) were synthesized and characterized by analytical and physico-chemical techniques, i.e., elemental analyses, IR, UV-Vis-NIR and EPR spectroscopy as well as thermal analysis and the determination of the molar conductivity and magnetic moments. The thermal behaviour of complexes was studied by thermogravimetry (TG), differential thermal analysis (DTA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The ligand behaves as bidentate NO, being coordinated through the azomethine nitrogen and carbonylic oxygen. The heats of decomposition, ΔH, associated with the exothermal effects, were also determined.

Pyridine-2,5-dicarboxylic acid, known as isocinchomeric acid is one of six isomers containing two carboxylic groups. Light lanthanide (III) complexes with pyridine-2,5-dicarboxylic acid with general formula Ln 2 L 3 ÁnH 2 O, where n = 8, 9, were obtained. Their thermal and spectroscopic properties were studied. Sodium salt was obtained as Na 2 LÁH 2 O. Hydrated complexes of La(III), Ce(III), Pr(III), Nd(III), Sm(III), Eu(III) and Gd(III) are stable to 313-333 K, whereas Na 2 LÁH 2 O is stable to about 333 K. Dehydration process for all compounds runs in one stage, next they decompose into appropriate lanthanide oxalates, oxocarbonates carbonates and finally to metal oxides. Bands of mCOOH vibrations at 1736 and 1728 cm -1 disappear on complex spectra and m as and m s of COO -groups appear thus indicating that complexation process took place.
