“…These enzyme-MOF composites are able to solve the unfavorable solvent effect of enzymatic structure and limited loading of large enzyme into MOF pores. Unlike other encapsulation approaches such as coprecipitation, enzyme molecules can trigger nucleation of porous crystals by concentrating the MOF building blocks in the process of biomimetic mineralization ( Xie et al, 2010 ; He et al, 2016 ; Jiang et al, 2017 ; Zhu et al, 2022 ).
