Biomarkers in Alzheimer’s disease

Abstract: Background: Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia and cognitive dysfunction in old ages. AD is characterised by beta- amyloid (Aβ) plaques and neurofibrillary tangles of the hyper-phosphorylated Tau protein.
