Biological activity of the derivatives of 1,2,4-triazole

Abstract: The rapid development of modern medicine and pharmacy leads to an increase in synthetic drugs. Thus, in the professional literature says that one of the perspective directions are searching for new biologically active compounds including heterocyclic systems and the introduction of the latest in medical, pharmaceutical or veterinary practice. It is known that heterocyclic ring system 1,2,4-triazole moiety is promising for the synthesis of new active ingredients with various kinds of pharmacological actio… Show more

“…Separately to the ability to proliferate, 1,2,4-triazole derivatives are able to have a cytoprotective effect. Cytoprotection is manifested in antioxidant [41][42][43][44][45], antihypoxic [46][47][48][49][50], hepatoprotective [51][52][53][54][55], neuroprotective [56][57][58][59][60] action. In particular, scientists [60] conducted an extensive review of 64 compounds that can find their application in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.…”

“…The name 'Triazole' was given to the five-membered diunsaturated ring structure composed of three nitrogen atoms and two carbon atoms at non-adjacent positions having molecular formula C 2 H 3 N 3 (Bladin 1885). Out of the isomeric pair, 1,2,4-triazole has a wide range of biological targets (Kravchenko, Panasenko & Knysh 2018).1,2,4-Triazole nucleus and its derivatives represent one of the most biologically active class of compounds that are associated with diverse pharmacological activities such…”
