In this cutting-edge research era, silver nanoparticles impose a substantial impact because of their wide applicability in the field of engineering, science, and industry. Regarding the vast applications of silver nanoparticles, in this study, the crystallographic characteristics and nanostructures of silver nanoparticles extracted from natural resources have been studied. First, biosynthetic silver nanoparticles were synthesized using the Pathor Kuchi leaf (PKL) extract as a mediator, and their crystal structures and characteristics were analyzed by UV–visible absorption spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), and energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis. The average crystallite size of the synthesized silver nanoparticle was determined to be 20.26 nm, and also the lattice strain, intrinsic stress, and dislocation density were measured to be 2.19 × 10–3, 0.08235 GPa, and 3.062045 × 10–3/nm2, respectively. Further, the prepared sample of silver nanoparticles shows four peaks in the X-ray diffraction pattern, which correspond to the (111), (200), (220), and (311) face-centered cubic (FCC) crystalline planes. The outstanding finding of this work was that when the lattice parameters of the precursor were increased, the volume of the material did not considerably change, but the particle size decreased. Second, it was clearly demonstrated that this straightforward method is a clean, cost-effective, environmentally sustainable, nontoxic, and efficient route for the synthesis of silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) using PKL leaf at ambient temperature, which also satisfies the green chemistry requirements. Finally, this study demonstrates the scope for the production of silver nanoparticles using low-cost natural resources.

One million cases of skin wounds, either closed or open wounds, necessitate wound treatments to improve the quality of life. In this study, gellan gum biopolymer (Ag@TiO2NRs/GG) hydrogel film with Ag loaded TiO2 nanorods was fabricated for wound healing dressing. The wound healing performance of Ag@TiO2WR/GG hydrogel was tested in vitro and in vivo to investigate its ability to regenerate skin tissue. FTIR, XRD, and SEM were used to examine the physical and chemical properties of prepared Ag@TiO2NRs/GG hydrogel film, as well as pure Ag and Ag@TiO2NRs. The FTIR spectra revealed the functional groups of Ag, TiO2NRs, GG, and their interactions. The hydrogel film was in an amorphous form, according to XRD analysis, due to the helical structure of GG and the presence of Ag and TiO2NRs in distinct phases The SEM image shows agglomeration of Ag particles and elongated TiO2 nanorods, indicating that Ag@TiO2NRs were successfully incorporated onto GG hydrogel film. Human skin fibroblast cells (CRL2522) were used to study the in vitro wound healing of Ag@TiO2NRs/GG hydrogel film for cell viability and proliferation. After 72 h, ~98,022 cells/well were counted, indicating that the Ag@TiO2NRs/GG was biocompatible and non-toxic. In vivo wound healing on Sprague Dawley rats revealed 100% wound healing after 14 days of treatment with Ag@TiO2NRs/GG hydrogel film. On a treated skin wound, ultrasound images revealed a thicker epidermis, clear dermis, and subcutis layer, indicating a positive correlation between wound healing and skin tissue regeneration.

Remediation of industrial discharged dyes to the water bodies is much needed in the current scenario. Here in this, we prepared silver nanoparticles using Anisomeles malabarica. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized by Fourier transform infrared study, scanning electron microscopy, dynamic scanning calorimetry, and thermogravimetric analysis. All the characterization studies suggested that the formation of silver nanoparticles was successful. The synthesized silver nanoparticles were used as an adsorbent to adsorb the methylene blue. To achieve this, optimum pH of the adsorbent to adsorb the dye was studied, and it was found to be pH 7. The adsorbent dose to adsorb the dye was found to be 0.1 g/L. From the isotherm theoretical studies, it was found that the adsorption isotherm follows Langmuir adsorption, and the q max was found to be 97.08. From the kinetic study, the rate of the reaction follows the pseudosecond-order kinetics with regression > 0.9 . From the study, it was inferred the nanoparticles synthesized can act as a good adsorbent and can be used to purify the wastewater contaminated with methylene blue.
