“…Ese reconocimiento tiene su sustento en las 94,412 especies que han sido registradas en el territorio nacional (Martínez-Meyer et al, 2014). De ellas, 1,500 especies corresponden a un grupo de invertebrados: los anélidos poliquetos, gusanos que se distribuyen prácticamente en todos los ecosistemas bénticos marinos, donde a menudo son el componente dominante en términos de número de individuos y especies (Tovar-Hernández et al, 2014a).
