Bio-literacy perspective: A study of the implementation of outdoor learning-based science process skills in plant introduction

Abstract: Article historyThe study aims to describe an implementation study of outdoor learning based science process skills based on a bio-literacy perspective. The method used is quantitative analysis to see the influence of implementation of science process skills, while to reveal the effect of each indicator of each predictor used qualitative descriptive analysis. The samples in this study were two groups of biology teacher candidates taken by cluster random sampling techniques. The research instrument is a science … Show more

“…The basic competence in the Plantae material at the high school level is to describe the general characteristics of the kingdom Plantae, Bryophyta, Pteridophyta, Spermatophyta which is the depth of this material requires real diversity of plant samples (Hernawati, et, al., 2020). The implementation of online learning is carried out with cooperative learning, the limitations of learning with a practicum in the laboratory can be overcome through independent assignments by looking for Plantae diversity through observing the environment around students and searching for online learning resources through websites, pictures, and YouTube videos that are valid and believing that the source references are the results of research in the form of articles, books, and encyclopedias on the diversity of Plantae (Likita, Maulina & Sikumbang, 2020).…”

“…Learning development in University is directed to produce competent graduates who are all set to become part of the Industrial revolution 4.0 society. Teacher training programs spearhead educated human resources competencies (Hernawati et al, 2020). Biology Education at the University of Lampung is a program that prepares the availability of human resources in accordance with the achievement of KKNI level 6.…”

“…Bedard (Bédard et al, 2012) explained that collaborative learning means learning in group work and not learning in isolation. In this collaborative learning, students are responsible for their learning process and try to find information to answer the questions that are presented to them (Hernawati et al, 2020). The use of online discussion rooms, blended learning, and media test educational games through Quizizz can be used as an alternative in improving students' cognitive, psychographic and affective learning outcomes (Tang et al, 2020).…”
