“…With respect to solid‐state supercapacitors, binder‐free WS 2 nanosheets carbon fibers composite were synthesized by hydrothermal method and electrochemically studied in polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/LiCl gel electrolyte by Liu et al. Regarding the electrolyte, its synthesis employed PVA and LiCl in aqueous solution, which subsequently was applied in electrodes and separator; and dried until and solidified at room temperature . In this work, after 10 000 cycles the material presented capacitance retention of 82 %, with specific areal capacitance of 0.93 F cm −2 at 4 mA cm −2 .…”

“…Owing to the 2D morphology, only small structural changes occurred during the charge‐storage process compared to the bulk ones, thus making the 2D materials exhibit both high energy and power density. In addition, Lu et al utilized high‐quality semiconducting tungsten disulfide (WS 2 ) nanosheets to fabricate stable negative electrodes . The durability of WS 2 nanosheets was demonstrated owing to the improved crystallinity.…”

“…The Raman spectra of the WS 2 and Ni(OH) 2 /WS 2 samples are shown in Figure S5, Supporting Information. Two characteristic peaks of WS 2 located at 349 and 417 cm −1 are observed, which correspond to the in‐plane longitudinal acoustic mode LA(M) and the out‐of‐plane vibrational mode (A 1g ) of the W–S stretching . Two characteristic peaks of Ni(OH) 2 can be observed at 512 and 574 cm −1 .…”
