Abstract: El manejo de reproductoras en grupo o semigrupo, con objeto de mejorar su bienestar, proporciona solo un ligero enriquecimiento del comportamiento locomotor y social, y algunos resultados zootécnicos próximos pero estadísticamente inferiores a los obtenidos en jaula individual, sin conseguir así compensar los resultados negativos del método: mayor mortalidad de gazapos lactantes, estrés, agresividad, heridas y mortalidad de las madres, unido a la complejidad, tiempo y trabajo requeridos por este manejo.
