AimsHikikomori is a common phenomenon reported in Japan and many other countries. However, the broad trends of the research publications on hikikomori are unclear. Therefore, this study examined the patterns of research on hikikomori using bibliometric analysis.MethodsRelevant publications were searched in Web of Science. Bibliometric analyses were performed with CiteSpace, R and VOSviewer.ResultsIn total, 297 publications on hikikomori met the eligibility criteria. The International Journal of Social Psychiatry (IF = 10.461) published the most papers (K = 17, or 5.7%) on hikikomori. Takahiro A. Kato from Kyushu University (41; 13.8%; H‐index = 18) was the most influential author, while Takahiro A. Kato (total link strength [TLS]: 235), Alan R. Teo (TLS: 157), and Masaru Tateno (TLS: 153) separately had the strongest research collaboration with other researchers. Of all countries that published on hikikomori, Japan had the highest number of publications (K = 91). The keywords “United States” and “psychiatric diagnosis” received the most attention between 2013 and 2015, whereas “health” and “autism spectrum disorder” received the most attention in 2021 and 2022.ConclusionsPeer‐reviewed research publications on hikikomori are growing rapidly and the research trends in this field are also changing.

IntroductionIn this research, it is aimed to make a bibliometric analysis of master's, doctorate and medical residency theses written in public health in Turkey and registered on the National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education. Materials and MethodsThe research is of descriptive type. Within the research, all theses, including master's, doctorate and medical residency in public health, which were registered on the website of the National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education until 31.12.2021, were reached. A data collection form consisting of 21 questions was used in the evaluation of the postgraduate theses. Kruskal-Wallis analysis of variance and Chi-square test were performed to determine the relationships between variables. P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results2399 theses were evaluated in the study. Of the theses included in the research, 45.6% were master's thesis. The full text of 77.4% of the theses was available and, the gender of the thesis student was female in 66.1%. The most commonly used epidemiological method in theses was crosssectional. The median number of pages of the theses is 108 (min: 27-max: 952). The university with the highest number of theses in Public Health was Istanbul University. When the topics of the theses were evaluated, the most chosen topic was occupational health (14.2%) and the least chosen topic was school health (0.7%). ConclusionAs a result of the research, it was determined that most of the theses were master's theses and, the number of public health theses increased over the years.

This study aimed to apply a bibliometric analysis of the Erciyes University Journal of the Faculty of Veteri-nary Medicine (EÜVFD) in terms of various criteria. The material of the study consisted of a total of 506 academic stud-ies (research articles, reviews and case reports) published in 47 issues between 2004-2021 years. Number of studies published in the journal by years, type, institution and unit of the corresponding author, publication period, review/evaluation period, number of pages, number of authors, postgraduate thesis summary and previous presentation sta-tus, the research material used (animal species), the number of keywords, the number of tables/graphics used, the number of pictures/figures, the number of sources and the language of publications were given as descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage). The publication, press and evaluation periods were compared with Kruskal-Wallis Test. Ac-cording to results, EÜVFD received a total of 345 citations (68%) in 18-year publication life. Review, press and publica-tion time were shorter than four, six and 10 months, respectively. An average of 28.1 publications are published annu-ally in the journal, the average number of authors per publication is three, 40.1% of the corresponding authors are Erciyes University Veterinary Faculty members, the highest number of publications are from Division of Clinical Scienc-es (27.7%) and Department of Surgery (10.5%), 30.3% of the study material consists of ruminants, the highest number of studies are research articles (61.7%), and it has been determined that 20.4% of the publications are in English lan-guage. As a conclusion, it is understood that EÜVFD is a scientific journal that complies with the publication policy, receives publications from the field of veterinary medicine and from different units, all stages are followed meticulously, and has been published for 18 years and scanned in the field index. Considering all the achievements of the journal, strong impressions have been gained that it is getting closer to its goal of being scanned by the Science Citation Index (SCI) and will reach this goal in a short time.
