Benefits of physical activity and physical exercise in the time of pandemic.

Abstract: Physical activity and physical exercise are key factors to help the population to mitigate the effects that the current pandemic is causing on the mental and physical health of citizens worldwide. In such an extreme situation, it is highly recommended to be physically active.

Being physically active should be highly recommended (Amatriain-Fernández et al, 2020 ) considering that physical activity could help in preventing psychological or mood disorders (Kwan et al, 2012 ) and improving the quality of life by decreasing the negative psychosocial effects of lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic (Slimani et al, 2020 ).
