Behavioral learning game for socio-physical IoT connections

Abstract: Game theory is an innovative idea to understanding human behaviors from economics to political science. However, due to the bounded rationality of game players, game theory alone cannot fully explain human behavior and should complement other key concepts championed by the behavioral disciplines. This paper provides a foundation for decision-making process from the viewpoint of game theory and behavioral science approach. First, we develop a new behavioral learning game model to examine how bounded rationality… Show more

“…The fast development of connectable objects by IoT made it possible to link several smart objects through the internet, thus submitting more data for assessments. The forecast for the interconnection of these objects is automation in all fields of action, reducing the need for human interventions (Eisenberg and Fullerton, 2012;Hu et al, 2013;Bąk et al, 2015;Czarnecki and Deniziak, 2015;Kim, 2016). Intelligence is a feature that refers to the degree of automated functions, according to the operation of the IoT product.…”

“…The path from "Intelligence" to "Functional experience" for H4b (þ) got the highest value for t test = 16.112 and a high original load b = 0.471. Hu et al (2013) observe that sensors, devices and people connected to internet create countless amounts of data that are digitally available, and the forecast for interconnection of these connectable objects will be automation in all fields, reducing the need for human interventions (Kim, 2016).…”

“…I⇒J and G⇒E have the same support and confidence and should be valid association rules. However, as can be seen from the table, E always appears regardless of whether G appears [20]. Obviously, G⇒E is not a valid association rule [21].…”

“…As discussed by Duffy [ 26 ], individuals differ in their learning process, how they process information, and how they assimilate and use it in future actions. Kim [ 27 ] thinks that game theory, together with other behavioral disciplines, may offer a better understanding of political science concepts.…”

“…When teaching political science, especially diplomacy, one is confronted with a major challenge—how to develop relevant, applicable skills, taking into consideration the fact that in real-life situations (occurring, for example, in ministries of foreign affairs [MFAs]) there is a tangible need for access to confidential information. The benefits of using a mix of personalized learning and role playing in political and social sciences are well demonstrated in pedagogical literature [ 27 - 31 ]. Hardy and Totman [ 32 ] consider that the use of such mixed approaches in international relations requires discipline-specific examination.…”
