“…Although the SBAR tool has been tested in United States and shown to provide positive outcomes (Novak, 2012;Ardoin and Broussard, 2011), it was unclear whether or not the SBAR tool would be commensurate with the needs of Chinese nursing students and appropriate with their curriculum. As one of the first studies (1) to workshop the SBAR communication technique in Chinese nursing education in China and (2) to evaluate whether or not the use of the SBAR communication technique improves nursing students' inter-professional communication skills-particularly among nursing students (e.g., nurse to nurse shift report and nurse to physicians/ other interdisciplinary team), our study suggests that the inclusion of SBAR in the nursing curriculum in China can positively impact both didactic and clinical aspects of the pedagogical experience of the students.…”
