Bandpass filter based on complementary split ring resonators at X-band

Abstract: Complementary Split Ring Resonators were used integrated in a substrate integrated waveguide to generate passband charateristics in X-Band. Based on a parameter study with an electromagnetic commercial software, the characteristics of double and quadruple CSRRs according the reflection and transmission factor were observed. The computer simulation showed, the bandpass filter worked in the frequency range 8.12-8.63 GHz and 8.11-8.63 GHz for double and quadruple CSRR, respectively. The insertion loss was 0.12 dB… Show more

“…As per the design modelling of SIW given in [15], the corresponding resonant frequency, fc(TE10) for SIW is used to determine the width of SIW, Weff. The width of SIW power divider and SIW coupler, Weff is determined by the mathematical expression (1) and (2):…”

“…Complimentary split ring resonator (CSRR) can be categorized as metamaterial structure, has been analyzed in [8]- [10] to give compact and sharp rejection besides DGS [11]. In [8], several CSRR is used to form stopband with very sharp rejection in wideband.…”

“…It is well-known a ring topology may produce high performance bandpass filter with high selectivity [19][20][21][22][23]. Hence, in this work, a single square ring resonator is introduced as a base cell which employs quarter-wavelength coupled-lines, coupled at the input and output of the ring lines.…”
