Balance and harmony in the Gallup World Poll: The development of the Global Wellbeing Initiative module

Abstract: Over recent decades, scholarship on wellbeing has flourished. However, this has been critiqued as Western-centric, firstly in terms of the location of research participants and scholars, and moreover in terms of the very ideas and values through which wellbeing is understood.
