Abstract: This study analyzes the complexity of self-destructive situations in both their social dimensions and their apparent individual manifestations (suicide, accidents, homicide, illness, drug addiction, etc.). The article points out errors in the reporting of these situations and proposes methods for further study of the phenomenon.
