FROM A perusal of the literature it appears that the indications for this treatment, together with any already firmly established procedure such as drainage of an abscess, etc., are as follows. For convenience references are given in alphabetical order.AFRICAN TICK BITE FEVER Three reported cases recovered dramatically, fever being absent fourteen hours, and all symptoms twenty-four hours, after commencement. One patient, ill for a week before treatment, was back at work in seventy-two hours. 1,2 ACUTE AMCEBIASISBelieved to be effective in intestinal, but not in systemic amcebiasis. Three of fourteen cases had negative stools after treatment. 3 BACTERIAL EYE INFECTIONSIn Staphylococcus aureus conjunctivitis ninetyfive cures and two failures are reported. 0.5 per cent. aureomycin borate in isotonic NaC\.
