Atributos Químicos De Um Neossolo Quartzarênico De Cerrado Sob Diferentes Sistemas De Uso E Manejo

Show more

“…The standardized mean values showed a trend in the areas of higher levels of Al, which also presented lower Ca and pH levels and, consequently, lower eucalyptus heights. These data agree with those found by Oliveira et al (2017), who evaluated the chemical characteristics of an Entisol soil in the Cerrado under different uses and covered with tree species and found that the higher the Al content in the soil, the lower the pH, resulting in a lower development of tree species.…”

“…The most marked difference was obtained as a function of the phosphorus level obtained by Roque, Prado, Natale, Beutler and Centurion (2004), who also evaluated coffee under a Red-Yellow Argisol in the Cerrado region. Oliveira, Ensinas, Barbosa, Nanzer and Barreta (2017) found levels of P, K, Ca, and Mg of 3.82 mg dm −3 , 175.91 mg dm −3 , 1.10 mmol c dm −3 , and 0.80 mmol c dm −3 , respectively, in a single rubber tree system under a Quartzarenic Neosol, being similar to the results found in the present study due to similar environment conditions.…”

“…The main factors and causes of this low soil fertility, which affects B and Zn availability, are: soil pH (the higher the soil acidity, the lower the B availability to plants); soil texture (low availability of nutrients in sandy soils); low soil moisture maintenance capacity; low soil organic matter contents (mainly sandy soils); leaching (low soil water retention capacity); high phosphorus (P) rates (high P concentrations may result in Zn deficiency); application of products to correct soil acidity; and exports of nutrients through harvests (NOGUEIRA, 2016;OLIVEIRA et al, 2017).…”
