“…Discussion. The largest number of road accidents according to statistics (94 % of accidents) is due to exceeding the driver's own capabilities while driving T [7,8]. “…According to research [7,8], this situation has developed due to unprofessional selection of drivers; diffi cult working conditions of the driver when performing TR; unsatisfactory psychophysiological condition and the state of the driver's own health; heavy traffi c. At the same time, in the study [9], the destructive factors that signifi cantly impair the reliability of the TR transport process include the state of vehicle fl eet, which occupies a leading position in the scheme presented by the authors. In general, the study presents the concept of analysis of the reliability of vehicle fl eet under only two conditions: suitable or unsuitable ones, which in some way limits the ability to make management decisions aimed at improving the transport process of TR in a mining company.…”

“…A literature review on the comfort of bus driver seats indicates several medical problems resulting from their long-term use [21][22][23]. Bus drivers are struggling with such problems as sleepiness, cramps, muscle fatigue, difficult circulation, spine pain, depression, stiffness, pain, numbness in the spine, and other musculoskeletal problems that may become chronic [24][25][26][27][28][29][30]. For that reason, to reduce these medical problems resulting from a malformed bus seat, further research should be carried out on the existing bus seat profile.…”

“…Occupations such as professional bus driving involves repetitive neck and shoulder movements (Rugbeer et al, 2016). The occupational tasks of bus drivers are stressful and have changed little over the decades (Golinko et al, 2020). It demands significant repetitive actions on the upper quadrant joints such as bending arms to control steering and frequent twisting of neck which can cause musculoskeletal stress to neck and shoulder regions resulting in significant occupational health hazards to the bus drivers (Golinko et al, 2020).…”

It demands significant repetitive actions on the upper quadrant joints such as bending arms to control steering and frequent twisting of neck which can cause musculoskeletal stress to neck and shoulder regions resulting in significant occupational health hazards to the bus drivers (Golinko et al, 2020). A recent literature review found that a high prevalence of upper quadrant musculoskeletal pain in the neck (42.4%) and shoulder regions (39.2%) respectively among professional bus drivers which was higher than the global 12-month prevalence of shoulder pain the in the general public (36.7%) (Joseph et al, 2020).…”
