The interlobular artery supplies branches to glomeruli in the juxtamedullary region before supplying the glomeruli of the outer cortex, yet auto radiographic studies in animals using 85krypton imply that the outer cortex is perfused first and then the juxtaglomerular region (Thorburn, Kopald, Herd, Hollenberg, O'Marchoe & Barger, 1963;Hollenberg, Mangel & Fung, 1976 (Glass & de Garetta, 1971).
