Abstract:The main objective of the study is to formulate a new approach of assessing economic security for industrial enterprises,
indicating a different approach from existing ones, to allow for the very specifics of economic activity, and to allow the use of qualitative
and quantitative indicators. We justified that the effectiveness of ensuring the economic security for industrial enterprises is determined by
the quality of the information basis for the actions of security entities. A methodological approach is p… Show more
“…Unfortunately, today there are few scientific studies that focus on the resources of enterprises as its basis for safety and capacity building as such. For example, Shynkar et al [19] and Ianioglo & Polajeva [20] propose to assess security through a certain set of indicators, however, in our opinion, it is the assessment of resources and reveals the safety potential of the enterprise.…”
The main purpose of the study is to form a methodological approach to modeling the process of forming a safety potential for engineering enterprises. The main method used was the method of multi-criteria assessment of alternatives and the matrix of paired comparisons. An assessment was made of alternative options for ensuring the security of the potential of engineering enterprises for different resource requirements. The study has certain limitations related to the fact that the data and enterprises that were used relate to the engineering ones of Eastern Europe. The results of calculating a rational option for ensuring the safety potential of engineering enterprises for different needs in material, financial, personnel and organizational resources by the method of multi-criteria assessment of alternatives can be used in the future to improve monitoring in practice. The main issues considered during the study were to determine the security potential of the engineering company, to determine the resources needed to ensure the security potential. This methodology allows through comparison of certain indicators or indicators, to determine which management decision is most appropriate to the existing situation. The value of the study lies in the formation of a scientific and practical approach to the formation of the safety potential of engineering enterprises, the use of which, in contrast to the existing ones, is based on the use of methods for multi-criteria assessment of alternatives and a matrix of paired comparisons for the advantage of options.

“…Abdulaziz (2018) considered strategic directions for assessing the level of economic security of the agroindustrial enterprise for processing enterprises through the dynamics of the opportunities and threats of this type of enterprises. Shynkar et al (2020) in their work studied the main strategies for determining the level of economic security at enterprises, including assessing the number of threats and factors of the internal and external environment. Golovach (2018) formed the definition of a strategy for assessing the level of economic security of the agroindustrial enterprise through the formation of a structural-logical scheme for agricultural enterprises.…”
The complex of agroindustrial enterpriseis an extremely important branch of the national economy of any state. This area determines the level of food security, and can also be one of the powerful incentives for the growth of the entire economic system of the country. This is why it so important to ensure economic security of agroindustrial enterprise. The purpose of the article is to form the model for assessing the level of economic security of the agroindustrial enterprise. The subject of the study is economic security of the agroindustrial enterprise. It is proved that the effectiveness of anti-crisis measures substantially depends on information support, the formation of which at the proper level is possible when applying the developed model for assessing the level of economic security of the agroindustrial enterprise. The use in the model of quantitative and qualitative indicators can characterize the main parameters of the economic activity of the agroindustrial enterprise and allow to characterize the level of economic security. This model is based on data that were obtained during the assessment by experts who work in agroindustrial enterprises, which may not only be about professionalism, but also take into account the specifics of the studied area. As a result of obtaining one or another value of the integral indicator, the studied agro-industrial enterprise is recognized as requiring no revision of its own strategy for ensuring economic security. The generated model was experimentally applied at ten enterprises in Eastern Europe, in particular in countries such as Poland, the Czech Republic and Ukraine, to test its effectiveness. To define and substantiate our research, we applied the following general research methods: induction and deduction, comparison and systematization, synthesis and analysis, morphological analysis. The following methods are specific for our research: SAW methodology, in our work is designed to form a polyvariate decision-making model for assessing the level of economic security, as well as a method of expert evaluation, which are designed to form a list of necessary for the formation of the above model. The novelty of our research lies in the developed integrated indicator for assessing the level of economic security of agribusiness and its practical application.
“…Most scientists [11][12][13] devoted their research to the general problems of the risk management system at engineering enterprises. They came to the conclusion that the main direction of improving the enterprise management system is the development and implementation of active management based on systemic and situational approaches.…”
In modern conditions, the problem of the survival of companies, and the preservation and provision of their further development has become particularly relevant. The crisis has engulfed not only individual enterprises but entire industries. The most affected, in particular, is the engineering industry. The main purpose of the study is the formation of a risk management system at an engineering enterprise in terms of ensuring its security. To do this, we applied the IDEF0 modelling methodology with its main elements. The dynamism of the economic environment and the complexity of the links between its elements necessitate the adoption of informed management decisions in the face of risk and uncertainty of future results. Risk management is becoming an obligatory activity for engineering enterprises, implementation of projects, and operations. Based on the results of the study, a basic IDEF0 model of the risk management system at an engineering enterprise in terms of ensuring its security was formed. The study has limitations and, first of all, they relate to the specifics of the activity of engineering enterprises, other areas of activity are not taken into account. Further research requires expanding the model and taking into account not only risks but also threats and direct dangers.
