“…Lymphoma is unusual because its histopathological features, including hypercellularity, more oversized and irregular nuclei, less extracellular space, and cellular compartments composed of lymphoma cells and fine fibrosis, are reflected by markedly low MD and markedly high MK 7,24 . Our study also indicated that lymphoma showed markedly low MD and markedly high MK, even exceeding values in Warthin's tumor, and is in accordance with previous studies 24,33 . Thus, we classify lymphoma and Warthin's tumors as a separate subgroups.…”

“…7,24 Our study also indicated that lymphoma showed markedly low MD and markedly high MK, even exceeding values in Warthin's tumor, and is in accordance with previous studies. 24,33 Thus, we classify lymphoma and Warthin's tumors as a separate subgroups. In agreement with the present results, a previous study has demonstrated a significant difference in MK between Warthin's tumor and malignant tumor, while the difference in MD did not reach statistical significance.…”

“…A previous study investigated the application of DKI in predicting chemotherapy response of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in the neck and found that there was a significant decrease of K app and increase of D app after 7 days chemotherapy onset compared to their corresponding pretreatment levels. 27 As it was different in study design, mainly due to the differences of the target tumor population and the difference in timepoint, the two different groups received a postchemotherapy MRI. Further investigation still needs to resolve this conflict by making comparisons between different malignancies using a unique MRI schedule.…”

“…Qi et al (28) also reported that the MK value increases as the grade of glioma and cell density increase. Wu et al (29) stated that the ADC value increases, while the MK value decreases, as a result of chemotherapy in cervical non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Wang et al (30) reported that the ADC value is low, while the MK value is high, in bladder tumors compared with bladder inflammation.…”
