Abstract: Background:Biofilms are communities of bacteria attached to the surfaces in an extracellular polymeric matrix which are associated with many chronic infections in humans. In an Iranian study, 92% and 68% of the isolates from urinary catheter isolates were resistant to ciprofloxacin and imipenem, respectively (18).
