Assessment of Aqueous Solutions Concentration Efficiency of Mineral Salts and Organic Media Applying Rotary-Film Evaporator for Natural and Waste Water Treatment

Abstract: The paper focus is the efficiency evaluation of aqueous solutions concentration of mineral salts and organic media by evaporation applying rotary-film evaporator with hinged blades. The volume flow rate of the initial solutions (irrigation density) and solutions viscosity were chosen as independent experimental parameters, which determine the hydrodynamic mode of the film movement in the rotary film evaporator. An experimental rotary-film evaporator with hinged blades was used for the research. According to th… Show more

“…Hardness salts, contained in aqueous media, particularly affect scaling process on the filter elements [5][6][7]. Hardness salts, represented by the compounds of calcium, magnesium (much rarely of strontium, barium) in the form of carbonates, bicarbonates and sulfates, when scaling on the membrane element surface form insoluble crystal formations, thereby significantly reducing the membrane element performance.…”
