Abstract:RESUMO-O levantamento de Arecaceae no litoral piauiense evidenciou seis espécies, das quais cinco são nativas (Astrocaryum vulgare Mart., Copernicia prunifera (Mill.) H.E.Moore, Euterpe oleracea Mart., Mauritia fl exuosa L.f. e Orbignya martiana Barb.Rodr.) e uma subespontânea (Elaeis guineensis N. J. Jacquin).
