Application of the biopreparation ‘Orgamika F’ against fusarium disease of cabbage and other cole vegetables

Abstract: This article provides information on the spread, development and damage of fusarium disease, which occurs in cabbage vegetable crops (white cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, red cabbage, savoy cabbage, Chinese cabbage) and the use of biological preparations against this disease. Healthy and vigorous seedlings were obtained when fusarium disease was treated with a titrated suspension Orgamica F of 1∙108 CFU (colony forming unit)/ml, and the number of diseased seedlings was 0.6–1.0%. It was noted that 0.9-1.3% of … Show more

“…exerted the strongest protective effect against fungal diseases of white cabbage. As Allayarov A. reported, a complex biological formulation, Orhanika F, showed high biological activity against Fusarium wilt of cabbage when applied under roots prior to planting seedlings and 15 days after planting seedlings (Allayarov, A. et al, 2021). Previous studies demonstrated that protective effects of biologicals were short-term, not longer than 3-5 days.…”

“…Among the diseases of white cabbage, Alternaria leaf spot, basal stem rot, Fusarium wilt, black and soft rots have become most widespread in recent years; clubroot disease and downy mildew have been less common (Markov I., 2018;Butsenko, L., 2020). Indoors, root rot, Fusarium wilt, and soft rot are the most common diseases (Zhou L., et al, 2014;Cui W., et al, 2019;Orynbayev, A.T.;et al, 2020;Allayarov A., et al, 2021). As a rule, there are no varieties with resistance to these diseases.…”

“…A. Allayarov et al (2021) found that soaking seeds in a biological suspension showed the best efficiency. Biological efficiency of Orgamika F for growing white cabbage with titrated suspension 1×10 4 CFU/ml was 69.9%, and at a titer of 1×10 8 CFU/ml was 74.7%, cauliflower -72.2% and 75.1%, respectively, Chinese cabbage -72.5% and 76.2%, red cabbage - Market research shows that the number of organic products increases every year, but their price is also increasing.…”

“…The disease first affected the leaf bands, then the lower part of the leaf and the main veins. On the back side of such leaves, a gray mesh-like powder formed, consisting of mycelia of the disease-causing fungus [18][19][20]. Due to the disease, the leaves did not develop well and became colorless.…”
