Application of Economic Impact Analysis to a Local Public Health Agency and its “Academic Health Department”

Abstract: Public health systems are stressed by increasing demands and inadequate resources. This study was designed to demonstrate how economic impact analysis can estimate the economic value of a local public health system's infrastructure as well as the economic assets of an "Academic Health Department" model.
