This paper is concerned with acoustical engineering and mathematical physics problem for the near-field acoustical holography based on equivalent source method (ESM-based NAH). An important mathematical physics problem in ESM-based NAH is to solve the equivalent source strength, which has multiple solving algorithms, such as Tikhonov regularization ESM (TRESM), iterative weighted ESM (IWESM) and steepest descent iteration ESM (SDIESM). To explore a new solving algorithm which can achieve better reconstruction performance in wide frequency band, a refined wideband acoustical holography (RWAH) is proposed. RWAH adopts IWESM below a transition frequency and switches to SDIESM above that transition frequency, and the principal components of input data in RWAH have been truncated. Further, the superiority of RWAH is verified by the comparison of comprehensive performance of TRESM, IWESM, SDIESM and RWAH. Finally, the experiments are conducted, confirming that RWAH can achieve better reconstruction performance in wide frequency band.

Inverse patch transfer functions (iPTF) method is an efficient technique for sound field reconstruction and separation of arbitrarily shaped sound sources in noisy acoustic environments. By applying Neumann boundary condition to a closed virtual cavity surrounding the source, the Helmholtz integral equation is simplified and can be solved with a Green's function satisfying the Neumann boundary condition. However, in the identification of sparsely distributed sources, ghost sources appear in the result solved by using the iPTF method with classic Tikhonov regularization methods and influence the accuracy of identification. In the present work, an evanescent Green's function with fast convergence of calculation is utilized, and a technique that combines the iPTF method and Fast Iterative Shrinkage-Thresholding Algorithm aimed at improving the performance for the identification of sparsely distributed source is proposed. Then double layer measurements, instead of using expensive p-u probes, are employed to acquire the normal velocity of the hologram surface. In numerical simulations, the normal velocities of two antiphased piston sources are well reconstructed with high sparsity while a disturbing source is radiating in the sound field within the frequency band of 50 to 1000 Hz. Finally, an experiment on two baffled loudspeakers has been carried out. The results of simulations and experiments indicate that the proposed technique has obviously improved the accuracy of the iPTF method in the identification of sparsely distributed sources for the frequency band from 50 to 1000 Hz.

A new signal processing algorithm was proposed to identify the dynamic load acting on the coal-rock structure. First, the identification model for dynamic load is established through the relationship between the uncertain load vector, and the assembly matrix of the responses was measured by the machinery dynamic system. Then, the entropy item of maximum entropy regularization (MER) is redesigned using the robust estimation method, and the elongated penalty function according to the ill-posedness characteristics of load identification, which was named as a novel improved maximum entropy regularization (IMER) technique, was proposed to process the dynamic load signals. Finally, the load identification problem is transformed into an unconstrained optimization problem and an improved Newton iteration algorithm was proposed to solve the objective function. The result of IMER technique is compared with MER technique, and it is found that IMER technique is available for analyzing the dynamic load signals due to higher signal-noise ratio, lower restoration time, and fewer iterative steps. Experiments were performed to investigate the effect on the performance of dynamic load signals identification by different regularization parameters and calculation parameters, pi, respectively. Experimental results show that the identified dynamic load signals are closed to the actual load signals using IMER technique combined with the proposed PSO-L regularization parameter selection method. Selecting optimal calculated parameters pi is helpful to overcome the ill-condition of dynamic load signals identification and to obtain the stable and approximate solutions of inverse problems in practical engineering. Meanwhile, the proposed IMER technique can also play a guiding role for the coal-rock interface identification.
