Antitumor‐aktive cis ‐Platin(II)‐Komplexe mit α‐Aminosäureestern und Peptidestern. Struktur von cis ‐Dichlorobis(glycylglycin‐ethylester)platin(II)

Abstract: A series of cis-platinum(I1) complexes X2PtL2 (1 -4) (X = halide, 2X = oxalate, malonate; L = a-amino acid ester, peptide ester) has been obtained from PtXi-and L. The dipeptide ester complexes are also accessible via peptide synthesis at the complex from Cl,Pt(NH,CHRCO,H), and a-amino acid esters using carbodiimide as coupling agent and the platinum atom as amino protecting group. The complexes Cl,PtL2 with a-amino acid ester ligands have also been prepared from the bis(che1ate) compounds cis-Pt(NH,CHRCO,), a… Show more

“…It was assumed that the complexes were enriched in tumor cells due to an increased uptake of amino acids, peptides and proteins by the latter. The pharmacology of these compounds was thoroughly studied [36][37][38][39][40][41][42].…”

“…The antitumor activity of only a few peptide-platinum(II) complexes has recently been reported in which di-and tri-peptides are coordinated to platinum(II) [8,9]. The study with [Pt(digly)(H 2 O)] assumes great significance in view of the recent report of reasonable antitumor activity of its parent complex, [Pt(digly)Cl] [10].…”
