“…30 Another study revealed that for this implant system, antiresorptive drug use in women significantly improves long-term implant survival. 31 In addition to aspects related to the implant's design, a previous study that investigated more than 90 covariates concluded that several patient and prosthesis-related factors were significantly associated with crestal bone gain around single-tooth locking taper implants. Two of these factors were the use of a prefabricated titanium abutment with a hemispherical base, and the daily intake of NSAIDs.…”

“…Several distinctive features of the implant system have been proven to promote healthy bone metabolism: a bacterially sealed implant‐abutment interface 28 ; a short implant design, that dissipates strain over a large area 29 ; and a unique healing mechanism that results in a haversian‐like bone configuration 30 . Another study revealed that for this implant system, antiresorptive drug use in women significantly improves long‐term implant survival 31 . “…

“…Although preventing dental diseases is the preferable way to avoid long, uncomfortable, and expensive dental care, some conditions are inevitable, such as tooth agenesis, tooth loss due to trauma, amelogenesis, dentinogenesis imperfecta, or severe chemotherapy treatment that may negatively impact the quality of the bone that supports the teeth or implants. 4 , 5 On the other hand, several patients have eagerly sought dental clinics exclusively for aesthetic reasons. As a result of the technological advancements in dental prostheses and restoration materials processes, the market share of dental materials had been projected to reach USD 8.06 billion by 2027, prior to the COVID-19 outbreak.…”
