Antioxidant activity of purslane (portulaca oleracea l.) Leaf extract on ovarian oxidative stress levels and reproductive hormone levels of female white rats (rattus norvegicus) exposed to cigarette smoke

Abstract: Purslane (Portulaca oleracea L.) is a wild plant that grows in Indonesia and is considered a weed, but the highest antioxidant activity was found in the leaves and stems. Cigarette smoke is one of the exogenous free radicals that can enter the blood circulation, so that it can interfere with all cells and tissues in the body, including the reproductive organs.
