“…Regarding Argentinean isolates, sequences from seven out of ten segments were recorded so far. The other sequences came from isolated acquisitions; most of them were obtained during serological surveillance that recorded high seroprevalence values (>80 %), suggesting that those strains were circulating at that moment [17,18,38,39]. The appearance of reassortants was evident in sequences like 17/BRA/73/2014 (from WGS), which showed a distinct grouping throughout the trees, associating with Central and North American sequences or Argentinean 4/ ARG/829/2001 isolate (see Figs 3 and 7).…”

“…Interestingly, Minas Gerais is also the largest producer of bovine milk in Brazil. In this sense, the Zona da Mata region of Minas Gerais, composed of seven microregions, contains approximately 20% of the Southeast herd and is of great importance in the trade of goat milk and its by-products (Souza et al 2020).…”

“…Recognizing the strategic importance of the Zona da Mata of Minas Gerais in the productive and commercial aspects of goat milk, previous studies investigated bacterial infections in goat herds in the region (Souza et al 2020;Lima et al 2018). However, studies evaluating viral and parasitic diseases in these goat herds have not been reported.…”
