“…The AgNPs from some other plant crude such as Caralluma tuberculata, onion peel, durian-rind extract, Cornus officinalis, Rhodotorula mucilaginosa, and so forth have been recently reported for antibacterial and some other properties. The present study findings also imply that the MY-mediated AgNPs following a green approach were of interest for their antibacterial and antioxidant properties and could further be investigated for other properties.…”

“…Recently, a silver-based nanobiocomposite was synthesized using an exopolysaccharide produced by Rhodotorula mucilaginosa UANL-001L (EPS). The results showed an increased antibacterial and anti-biofilm activity of this nanobiocomposite against pathogens of clinical relevance (Vazquez-Rodriguez et al, 2020). Moreover, nanocomposites have been synthesized through green chemistry, such as zinc (Zn) and nickel (Ni) MNPs capped with EPS as capping agents, and they have displayed interesting antimicrobial properties as well.…”

“…14 Exopolysaccharides (EPS) are produced by algae, fungi, and bacteria and are composed of different monosaccharides. 20 Their role in bacterial homeostasis has been well-known. [21][22][23] Lately, studies exploring their health promoting effects are increasing in number.…”
