Antiarrhythmic therapy in patients with additional atrioventricular connective pathways: should we remember about it in the era of catheter ablation?

Ключевые слова: антиаритмическая терапия, катетерная радиочастотная абляция.catheter radiofrequency ablation (rFa) is preferable treatment for patients with ventricular pre-excitation syndromes. its efficiency is currently exceeds 95%. however, in some cases there is need for prophylactic antiarrhythmic therapy. as a rule, need for it arises for a limited period of time (from diagnosis to intervention or between procedures in case of arrhythmia recurrence) or in case of rFa failure. Specific situations of antiarrhythmic therapy for Wolff-parkinson-White syndrome, frequency and effectiveness of drugs from different classes are analyzed in the article. choice of antiarrhythmic drug is shown based on electrophysiological properties of additional atrioventricular connections.
