“…These results suggest a potential contribution of IM to the remodeling of the extracellular matrix, favoring AKs healing process. In fact, one of the main collagen-stimulating factors during the wound healing process (TGFβ) has previously been shown to be significantly increased after treatment with IM gel, resulting in anti-aging effects for patients with multiple AK lesions [49].
