The relationship between cyber plagiarism and the big five personality traits was explored in a sample of Chilean undergraduate students (N=106). A questionnaire based on 44 items was used to measure the respondents' big five personality traits. In addition, a three--item scale was adopted to measure self--report on the behaviour of cyber plagiarism. The technique of partial least squares regression was used for data analysis. The results indicate that an increase in cyber plagiarism (R 2 =.22) is significant and negatively related to the personality traits of conscientiousness, extraversion, and openness to experience, as also significant and positively related to the personality trait of neuroticism.KEYWORDS: Plagiarism, Big five model, Latin America, Partial least squares. RELACIÓN ENTRE EL CIBER--PLAGIO Y LOS CINCO GRANDES RASGOS DE PERSONALIDAD: UN ESTUDIO EMPÍRICO EN UNA UNIVERSIDAD CHILENA RESUMENLa relación entre el plagio cibernético y los cinco grandes rasgos de la personalidad fue explorada en una muestra de estudiantes universitarios chilenos (N = 106). Se utilizó un instrumento basado en 44 ítems para medir los cinco grandes rasgos de la personalidad de los encuestados. Adicionalmente, se adoptó una escala de tres ítems para medir el auto reporte sobre el comportamiento de plagio cibernético. La técnica de regresión de mínimos cuadrados parciales se utilizó para el análisis de datos. Los resultados indican que un aumento en el plagio cibernético (R 2 = 0.22) está significativa y negativamente relacionado con los rasgos de personalidad responsabilidad, extroversión y apertura a la experiencia, como asimismo, significativa y positivamente relacionado con el rasgo de personalidad neuroticismo.PALABRAS--CLAVE: Plagio, Modelo de los cinco grandes, Latino América, Regresión de mínimos cuadrados parciales.

ResumoPartilha do conhecimento é um processo onde unidades se influenciam para criar conhecimento novo. Ela tem ligação com a capacidade absortiva, uma habilidade que permite à empresa identificar conhecimentos externos, assimilá-los e aplicá-los, porém não está claro na literatura como essa ligação acontece. Um dos antecedentes da partilha do conhecimento e capacidade absortiva é orientação para objetivos, que podem ser de aprendizagem ou desempenho. Esses objetivos existem nas metodologias ágeis, que pretendem fomentar o aprendizado da equipa enquanto entregam software de melhor qualidade. Esse trabalho pretende estabelecer a relação entre partilha do conhecimento, capacidade absortiva e orientação para objetivos no contexto de equipas ágeis, o que foi realizado com uma revisão sistemática da literatura. Como resultados foram estabelecidas seis proposições sobre a relação dos construtos no contexto de equipas ágeis, com as quais gerentes podem identificar a orientação da equipa e criar planos de ação para as estratégias de conhecimento. Expatriate managers' personal financial insecurity indirectly thwarts team innovation: The role of state learning goal orientation

This paper studies the downstream effect of expatriate managers' personal financial insecurity on team innovation. Building on resource allocation theory, we propose a moderated serial mediation model. Using four‐wave, multi‐source survey data from 99 R&D expatriate teams within large technology companies in emerging markets, we find that expatriate managers' personal financial insecurity is negatively related to team innovation first through a lower level of state learning goal orientation in the last month, and subsequently through a lower level of intellectual stimulation behavior. The negative effect of expatriate managers' personal financial insecurity on state learning goal orientation is weakened when professional identification is higher (vs. lower). Theoretical and practical implications are discussed.
