This is based on observation that the absorptive capacity of the SCI is relatively low, which leads to lower competitiveness. “…While some studies claim that AC is positively influenced by KS (Curado et al , 2017; Peltokorpi, 2017; Supartha and Ratih, 2017), others find that AC influences the KS (Ai and Tan, 2017; Baker and Yousof, 2017; Berry, 2017). Our findings go some way to resolve previously unaddressed contradictions.…”

“…With regard to the quantitative articles that consider KS an antecedent of AC, five articles argue that sharing increases the individual’s or unit’s knowledge and this increase in knowledge makes it easier to identify the value of new knowledge, thus influencing the AC (Curado et al , 2017, p. 2017; Nodari et al , 2016; Oliveira et al , 2015; Peltokorpi, 2017; Supartha and Ratih, 2017). The studies from Costa and Monteiro (2016), Iyengar et al (2015) and Wuryaningrat (2013) use a similar argument, that KS is a learning process, resulting in new knowledge.…”

“…Knowledge sharing among organization members can increase organizations' knowledge reserves and revitalize knowledge flow, whereas ACAP is an essential element to transform knowledge into commercial use (Zhao et al, 2020). According to Balle et al (2020), several empirical studies argued that KS increases the individual's or unit's knowledge and this increase in knowledge makes it easier to identify the value of new knowledge, thus influencing the ACAP (Curado et al, 2017(Curado et al, , p. 2017Nodari et al, 2016;Oliveira et al, 2015;Peltokorpi, 2017;Supartha and Ratih, 2017). Also, Liao et al (2007) recommended shared knowledge should be transformed through ACAP.…”

“…In the highly competitive global economy of the 21 st century, tacit knowledge (TK) transfer mediated culture of excellence appeared as a crucial determining factor for efficient organizational performance. Currently, both manufacturing and service sectors are inclined toward the implementation of TK transfer in order to secure competitive advantage for sustainable organizational development (Supartha & Ratih, 2017). Thus, in order for companies to compete on the world stage and to confront the effects of globalization, knowledge management (KM) needs to be integrated and fused into organizational culture and strategies.…”
