Abstract:Large critical current density and low magnetic relaxation are the main challenges for practical applications of high-temperature superconductors (HTSs). Magnetic relaxation refers to the decay of superconducting current density caused by thermal activation and/or quantum fluctuations. This process involves the motion of vortices, particularly vortex creep, which leads to energy dissipation. HTSs typically exhibit strong superconducting fluctuations and magnetic relaxation due to their short coherence length a… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
