“…For the region including the Turner Creek watershed, this corresponds to the 100-year flood, which supports our assumption that the storm probability and flood probability may be closely aligned. This validation was greatly enhanced by recent compilations on rainfall-runoff relationships in Georgia that document regional relationships for hydrograph parameters (Inman 1987) and runoff (Price and Hess 1986;Stamey and Hess 1993;Hess and Stamey 1993). The loss-rate parameters and lag-time coefficients were calculated based on basin characteristics (Inman 1987) and input into HEC-1 for each of the six subbasins, and the simulated routed discharges were compared to discharges estimated from regional drainage area-discharge curves ( Figure 5).…”
