Annotation: travel and thrombosis

Abstract: Travel appears to be a weak risk factor for venous thromboembolism (VTE) and is more relevant for passengers with additional VTE risk factors. The association is not limited to air travel and is related to duration of travel. Life‐threatening pulmonary embolism (PE) is rare.
