Angular dependence ofEJcharacteristics and dissipative properties in Bi-2223/Ag tape

Abstract: We study the angular dependence of E-J characteristics and dissipative properties due to thermal disturbance in the Bi-2223/Ag multifilamentary tape in the low-voltage region. In order to simulate the dissipative properties, we take into account the analytical expressions of the E-J characteristics as a function of temperature, external magnetic field and field direction, which agree well with the experimental data. It is shown that the simulation results of the dissipative properties agree with the experiment… Show more

“…The twisted structure of the tape is not considered in this study. Table 1 shows the specifications of the Bi-2223/Ag multifilamentary tape used for the analysis [4]. The multifilamentary structure of the Bi-2223/Ag tape is modeled as shown in Fig.…”

“…Kiss et al have proposed the percolation depinning model that expresses quantitatively the J-E curves as a function of temperature and magnetic field (we sometimes call the model as Kiss model) [5,6]. Then, we have extended this model for the expression of the magnetic anisotropy by considering the misorientation of the superconducting grains [4]. The J-E relations derived by the extended percolation depinning model are expressed as follows:…”
