Abstract

Les études anatoniiqucs contenues dans ce mémoire ont été entreprises en vue de l'Histoire naturelle des Poissons d'eau douce de l'Europe centrale , de M. Àgassiz , dont elles devaient former le second volume. Des circonstances particulières ont engagé l'éditeur à adopter un autre mode de publication. Afin de rendre à chacun ce qui lui est dû , il ne sera pas inutile de faire remarquer ici que VOstéoloyie et la Nécrologie sont dues aux recherches de M. Agassiz. tandis que la Myologie, la Splanclmologie , la description des organes des sens et ['Ànyiologie ont été élaborées par M. Vogt. Toutes les planches ont été dessinées par M. Vogt. Ce travail remonte aux années IS'io et dS^l; quelques observations ont été ajoutées en 1845.
