Analysis of thermodynamic efficiency of the fuel preparation systems with an intermediate hopper at thermal power plants

High competition and strict requirements of the wholesale electricity and capacity market make optimization of heat supply schemes an urgent issue for generating companies. Replacement of life-expired generation equipment with new capacities based on advanced technologies is a priority goal for the energy industry development. This work focuses on condensing power plant (CPP), which is the only source in the city that supplies heat to all consumer categories. The plant carries out quantitative and qualitative heat supply regulation according to the temperature profile of 135/70°C with a cutoff of 110/70°C. The study examines the possibility of CPP modernization based on three options: building a pressure-reducing cooling unit 140/12, commissioning an auxiliary boiler house, and building a 110 MW combined-cycle gas plant. This paper presents technical solutions for the considered options and preliminary technical and economic calculations of their efficiency.

Organic synthesis enterprises are characterized by multi-stage technological processes and large volumes of production of various products, the production of which is associated with a huge consumption of energy resources. First of all, the technological processes of such enterprises are associated with the conversion and consumption of water vapor and electric energy, which are transformed from external sources. Currently, there is a tendency in the energy industry to replace outdated capacities with new ones by the installation of efficient combined cycle power units, the construction of which is costly both financially and resource-wise, requiring the involvement of highly qualified personnel. All this leads to an increase in energy tariffs, which affects the financial performance of large consumers, including organic synthesis enterprises, whose technological processes are associated with the formation of secondary energy resources in the form of water steam, flue gases, combustion gases, hot water. This article offers a variant of the useful use of water steam for technological processes and the generation of electrical energy for the own needs of the enterprise.

The object of the study is the water supply and sanitation system of an industrial enterprise. Currently, many enterprises do not use the treated industrial waste water in the water supply cycle. Therefore, the use of treated wastewater is of practical importance. The scheme of thermal treatment of waste water for obtaining pure condensate by evaporation is proposed. The main results of the study are the technical solution for the development of the enterprise's wastewater treatment complex. Pure condensate is obtained in an instant boiling evaporator. The research method is based on the calculation of energy costs in wastewater treatment for different types of waste water. The results of the study allow us to determine the optimal set of energy equipment for obtaining pure condensate and its further use. The specific practical significance lies in the development of a technical solution that helps the treatment of wastewater and the reduction of emissions into the water basin.
