As Organizações Baseadas em Projetos (OBPs) referem-se a diversas formas organizacionais. Estas criam sistemas temporários para execução do seu trabalho, buscando reduzir a hierarquia e a burocracia nas organizações. Essas formas de organizações, assim como a maioria das empresas, precisam sobreviver a um mercado altamente competitivo e instável, fazendo com que sejam realizadas diversas transformações e adaptações a nível estratégico. Nesse contexto, surge a prática Inteligência Competitiva (IC) como modo de pensar e agir, através de um processo de coleta, análise e tratamento da informação. Diante dessa analogia, o presente estudo tem por objetivo evidenciar como a Inteligência Competitiva pode ser utilizada pelas OBPs. Para tal, realizou-se uma revisão de literatura, a partir de pesquisas em artigos científicos, dissertações, teses entre outros, sobre as temáticas supracitadas. Concluiu-se que a Inteligência Competitiva através do seu constante monitoramento, atrelado à atualização de ações corretivas e oportunas, podem promover a vantagem competitiva das organizações baseadas em projetos no mercado. O estudo apresentou algumas limitações por não existir estudos empíricos, sob a ótica da administração, que aproximem os conceitos.
