Analysis of renewable energy use in single-family housing

Abstract: The article presents the most frequently chosen heating systems for single-family houses and utility water heating by investors. The most popular installations based on conventional fuels using renewable energy sources were compared. A technical and cost analysis of the adopted cases was carried out. Finally, the most important conclusions resulting from the analys is were given. The article is mainly intended to encourage the reader - the investor to be to choose pro-ecological solutions based on modern techn… Show more

“…As a consequence of reduced demand, the transmission effi- ciency of the heating heat will decrease. As a result of climate change forecasts, there will be an increase in the demand for electricity to produce cold, which will necessitate investments to increase the power plant capacity [31,32,33]. Electricity production in Poland is expected to increase by 2040.…”

“…More precisely, very few studies have explored the impact of types of residential units on the growth of energy consumption or on the capacity of the units to host renewable technologies. [15][16][17] The discovered gaps in the literature have highlighted the necessity of exploring the drivers, affecting energy consumption in space heating. To our knowledge, the present paper has been the first to use macro-level data to investigate the impact of types of future residential units on space heating energy consumption and hosting renewable technologies.…”

“…The majority of studies in the residential sector, in this last decade, have been dominated by technical and physical research because of the lack of available disaggregated data on household energy usage. More precisely, very few studies have explored the impact of types of residential units on the growth of energy consumption or on the capacity of the units to host renewable technologies 15–17 . The discovered gaps in the literature have highlighted the necessity of exploring the drivers, affecting energy consumption in space heating.…”
