Analysis of MHD Forced Convective Flow of Variable Fluid Properties over a Saturated Porous Medium with Thermal Radiation Effect

Abstract: Abstract. The present paper addresses the problem of MHD forced convective flow in a fluid saturated porous medium with Brinkman-Forchheimer model, which is an important physical phenomena in engineering applications. The paper extends the previous models to account for effects of variable fluid properties on the forced convective flow through a porous medium in the presence of radiative heat loss using bivariate spectral relaxation method (BSRM). The dynamic viscosity µ and thermal conductivity of the newtoni… Show more

“…Hossain and Takhar [20] investigated the radiation effect on mixed convection bound ary layer flow of an optically dense viscous incompressible fluid along a vertical plate with uniform surface temperature. Adegbie and Fagbade [21] investigated the analysis of MHD forced convective flow of variable fluid properties over a saturated porous medium with thermal radiation effect. Ra diation on MHD boundary layer flow of a viscous fluid over an exponentially stretching sheet was considered together with its effects by Idowu et al [22].…”
