Analysis of Hydraulic Oil in Handling Lines Baljer & Zembrod Using the Methods of Tribotechnical Diagnostics

Abstract: This article describes an experiment aimed at monitoring of the oil condition and machine wear mode used in hydraulic system of handling line Baljer & Zembrod by Tribotechnical diagnostics methods. The experiment lasted for one year, five oil sample were taken during this period and evaluated their qualitative properties. By oil analysis were evaluated the physical-chemical analysis: viscosity at 40 °C, water content and Total Acid Number. This oil analysis further includes FTIR analysis for monitoring of … Show more

“…The suggested oil change period is conservative and results in a non-efficient usage of oil. [11] and [12] confirm this fact presenting the results of hydraulic oil analysis, which mention exceeded contamination limits, but physical and chemical properties, namely kinematic viscosity at 40 °C, total acid number and water content was situated within the required tolerance during all the time of operation. The additional filtration system can eliminate the oil contamination to protect the machine against excessive wear and provides the efficient usage of oil.…”

“…The results of Hnilicová et al [11] show that water content considerably affects the most of oil properties. In case of all three tractors, the non-measurable value of water content (Table 1, 2 and 3) is typical for most tractors because the transmission and hydraulic system is well protected against the water from the environment, and liquefied water from ambient air represents only a negligible volume regarding the high volume oil fill.…”

“…However, these procedures are time consuming and require relevant laboratory apparatus. Therefore, when evaluating the current lubricant state and its residual durability, we use instrumentation methods, such as Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometry (FTIR Spectrometry) (Glos and Svoboda, 2015;Hnilicová et al, 2016;Král et al, 2014;Sejkorová et al, 2014) combined with chemometric software (Al-Ghouti et al, 2010;Caneca et al, 2006;Sejkorová, 2013;Van de Voort et al, 2006), electro-chemical methods (Tomášková et al, 2014), emission and absorption spectrometry (Glos and Sejkorová, 2012;Mihalčová, 2014;Kumbár et al, 2014), a particle analysis using particle counters (Juránek et al, 2011;Kučera et al, 2016), and ferrography (Mihalčová and Rimár, 2015;Machalíková et al, 2008;Roylance, 2005).…”
