Analysis of genetic diversity among different isolates of Beauveria bassiana by RAPD-PCR

Abstract: ABSTRACT:The genetic diversity of Beauveria bassiana isolated from the different ecosystem of Tamil Nadu was analyzed. Totally fifteen isolates were used in this study. The genetic variability and relationship among 15 isolates were analyzed using 15 Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers. Among 15 primers used, six primers viz., OPA02, OPF01, OPX07, OPA03, OPZ19 and OPG19 showed 100 percent polymorphism. The relationships among the isolates were examined and represented as dendrogram by using UP-GMA … Show more

“…High genetic divergence of BbM1 from the new isolates from Punjab soils in this study may be due to the reason that the former was originally isolated in 1988 from IISR, Lucknow, a distantly located geographic region of India (Varma et al 1988), and faced repeated sub-culturing at MTCC, Institute of Microbial Technology, Chandigarh. Various workers have effectively used the RAPD to assess the genetic diversity of different isolates of B. bassiana (Kaur and Padmaja 2008;Imoulan et al 2016;Prabhukarthikeyan et al 2017). The studies reported the high genetic diversity among local isolates of B. bassiana, which supported the diversity of maximum 42% between standard MTCC2028 and the obtained new isolates.…”

“…Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi efikasi B. bassiana yaitu virulensi cendawan akibat terjadinya keragaman antarisolat Prabhukarthikeyan et al 2017;Dhar et al 2019;Boston et al 2020).
